Established in July 1969, Ford & McIntyre Men’s Wear began with two ambitious young men, Ken McIntyre and Vaughn Ford, who saw the need for a quality men’s store in Blenheim, Ontario. For over half a century, this iconic store has been a cornerstone of the community, providing stylish, up-to-date fashion to Blenheim and the surrounding area.

The store quickly earned a loyal following, thanks to its quality apparel and fair pricing. By 1983, ownership transitioned to John and June Cowan and Maurice and Hedy Mandeno, all Blenheim locals. When the Cowans retired in 1989, the Mandenos took sole ownership, further growing the business with their commitment to exceptional service and non-commissioned sales – a rare approach at the time. Their dedication to brand-name clothing and accessories cemented Ford & McIntyre as a trusted destination for men’s fashion.

After 38 years of guiding customers with expert advice on colors, styles, and fits, Maurice and Hedy retired in 2012. Don and Nancy Gilbert became the new owners, bringing fresh ideas and expanding the store’s offerings with European-inspired designs while emphasizing Canadian-made and sourced products.

In August 2021, the store found its current owners, Mike Russelo and Karyn Roesch, also from Blenheim. With a deep appreciation for the importance of small businesses, Mike and Karyn, along with their sons, continue the legacy of Ford & McIntyre Men’s Wear. Under their stewardship, the store remains committed to exceptional customer service, offering a curated selection of high-quality, unique products that blend international flair with modern designs.
